SKILLS & ROUTES
THE KNOW HOW
Eternal Saga does not use stats, turn-based effects, HP, Levels, Tiers, or powers. However, we do have very small systems in place to help create a unique experience for our players. One of the major systems in place on ES are the skills & route systems, which are used to help make everything fair for all of our members across the board.
Skills are the techniques that a character will use to perform a specific task or set of tasks. This is a rather simple concept and one that is on a large number of video games, RP forums, movies, anime, etc. While there is a list of general skills to choose from, keep in mind that some skills must be learned from masters. The skills that must be honed or taught will be noted as such.
Routes are a specific set of skills that reflect a character's particular area of expertise in their chosen occupation. These skills are required for a character's occupation and cannot be removed or opted out of. This selected occupation must be chosen from the very beginning and cannot be altered once a character begins to advance their skills in a select occupation.
Players can advance their character's skills by obtaining Nova through quests, crusades, and events and then purchasing a skill or multiple skills in the Nova Shop. We've made earning Nova simple, with a set number for each quest type, each crusade and events. This way, you will never be surprised by the numbers at the time of payout and you will always know what to expect when you complete a quest, crusade, or event.
Below, you will find a list of general skills, as well as the route specific skills. Be sure to choose wisely.
